Title Operations Manager
I have been with Cycle Country for over 30 years now. I started out as Parts Manager in February 1981. At that time we had one additional parts person, and an Accessory Manager. We have grown a lot since those early days thanks to our loyal customers. As the youngest daughter of Johnny and Janice Roner I have been involved in the motorcycle business in one way or another all of my life. When I was very little I used to go to work with my dad at Roner’s Cycle on Fairgrounds Road and demo a Schwinn tricycle that we had for sale around the showroom floor while waiting for the nursey school van to pick me up. It still makes me smile when I see your children come in and ride our demo Strider around the floor.
I have been the Operations Manager here for the last 20 years since my parents retired and love working here. People ask me when I am going to retire and my answer is, never! It is fun to work in an industry that brings relaxation, stress relief, and happiness to so many people. As Operations Manager I oversee the financial operation of the business and the internal workings of the dealership. I miss the one on one contact with our customers I had when I was working in parts, but I enjoy being part of the management team and being involved in the inner workings of all the departments. I sit upstairs in front of the window overlooking the showroom floor. Give me a wave next time you come in.

My name is Edward. I am a man of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by my mystery. In my off time I slay dragons, to rescue princesses that have been locked away in towers.
My introduction to the world of motorcycles started at the age of six. My father took me along to an auction house in Woodburn, and one of the items that rolled up for sale was a Honda Z50R. We ended up with that little bike that day, and I have been in love with motorcycles ever since. Since then I have owned enough motorcycles that I lost track about ten years ago. Currently I will ride just about anything with two wheels. I don't care if I am carving canyons draggin knee, touring the country, or getting through town on a scooter. So long as I am on two, I am happy. I am a firm believer in you need to love what you do, and do what you love. I came to the Cycle Country family by way of the Audio Video world.
Currently I perform many duties for the store and wear a myriad of different hats depending on the need and the day. As Sales Manager I help to direct other sales staff. I do a majority of the marketing for the store and manage our social media sites as well as web page. I also play the role of relief F&I assistant from time to time. I am also the person that gets to greet and talk to you if you happen to be looking for a career with Cycle Country. Among all these other duties, oftentimes I even get to be a janitor.
Thanks for taking a moment to learn a little more about me. One last thing. All you hipsters need to stop wearing Nirvana shirts if you don’t even listen to them. Jus’ sayin.

I was hired to work at Cycle Country in June of 1996 in the parts and accessories department. I have had a few bikes over the years. It all started with the Honda ATC90, ATC185S, and finally a TRX450R. I got endorsed to ride on the street in 1999 when I bought a Honda 750 Magna. The Magna was sold. I tried the HD experience for a very brief time. Next came the CBR929RR, NSR 50, ZB 50, and the CRF 50. Then came the more current Magna which was sold and now I have a 2010 Honda Fury which is currently what I am riding with no plans of it leaving my possession anytime soon.

Born in Oregon, raised in South Carolina and spending time in Alaska has allowed me to collect a wide array of skills, from learning how to cook Minute Rice in 57 seconds, to being able to run a mile in 5200 feet. I started on two wheels when my Grandpa threw me on the back rack of his Concord Moped and I’ve been worrying my mother ever since. I have since passed this trait along to my kids, who excel at worrying their mother and grandmother. My interests include anything fast and/or loud. In my free time, I quell uprisings, empty bars and tame tigers.

I truly fell in love with motorcycles when I saw Arnold Schwarzenegger on his motorcycle in Terminator 2. As a 12-year-old boy, that was the coolest thing ever. I was hooked. Before Cycle Country I was in the oil and gas industry but chose to leave that so I could spend more time with my wonderful wife and amazing 6-year-old twins. We have three cats, two dogs, and a partridge in a pear tree. Come on down and say hi!

My name is Rich, A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… Actually it was here in Salem in 1989 that my love of motorcycles started on my 2nd birthday with my first ATV. I got my first taste of this life then and it has been in my blood ever since. I went to Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, AZ right out of high school and started working at cycle country in 2007 as soon as I was done with school. I have been turning wrenches here ever since. I have had numerus motorcycles in my life and I will have many more. I don’t understand people that have never ridden motorcycles or ATV’s, yes they can be dangerous but if you don’t have some danger in life- is it really even living? You will never think more clear than inside a helmet at 70mph.
I will finish with this tidbit, you have never seen me and batman in the same place at the same time and I will just leave you to marinate with that thought.

Hello, I’m Jeri. Even though I am a new face in this business. I was born into this world. My grandpa aka Papa Johnny always loved motorcycles & riding with people he loved. He passed on that passion to his family & friends. My grandma and both of their daughters all ride. All of his grandchildren ride in one way or another. My grandparents actually turned that passion into several motorcycle businesses in Oregon through the 1960s to mid-90s. One of their motorcycles businesses was actually Cycle Country. My grandparents-Janice & Johnny Roner co-founded Cycle Country along with the Jimmie & Bev Smith. My mom has been part of the Cycle Country family ever since before I even existed. Growing up, I always thought she had the coolest job in the world working around the motorcycles. I used to brag about my mom and her job every chance I could get. She still has an awesome job in my opinion. Or else I wouldn’t be here working in this business ;)
About riding-I got my first snowmobile at age of two. It was a Kitty Kat! Every winter growing up I would ride my snowmobile enjoying the trails, the mountains, frozen lakes, the snow-topped pine trees, and the company I rode with. I especially miss riding with my papa, but I am fortunate that I had the experience riding with all four of my grandparents growing up here in Oregon. Even though I did grow up around Cycle Country. I’ve never ridden a two-wheeler motorcycle before, but that’s about to change this fall. I am grateful for the opportunities this business gave to my family. It’s only fair that I get to give some back to this business.
